Varna International Music Academy is preparing for Muzika 2025, South Carolina’s statewide classical music festival in June 2025. Led by Gregory Buchalter of The Metropolitan Opera, this extraordinary event will showcase remarkable performances in iconic venues. Featuring world-class orchestras, choirs and soloists, Muzika 2025 promises to be an unforgettable celebration of artistry, history and passion.
With headquarters in Columbia, SC, Varna International serves as a bridge between tradition and opportunity. Influenced by the histories of their own countries—Bulgaria and Israel respectively—founders Kalin and Sharon Tchonev believe music has an important role to play in making the world a more intimate, unified and loving place. Varna International’s role in the legacy of true art is to ensure aspiring and professional musicians have opportunities to grow in their skill and passion for presenting classical works that transcend time and culture in meaningful ways.
