The Coordinating Council for Workforce Development (CCWD), a partnership between state and local organizations including South Carolina ETV and Public Radio (SCETV), has announced the launch the pilot of FindYourFuture.sc.gov. This virtual platform connects South Carolinians with information to guide them on their education and job journey, as well as to link employers, educators and workforce development partners to available resources. This first iteration is designed to obtain user feedback to help improve and grow the platform.

Created in collaboration with FutureFit AI, the Future Finder feature converts users' past work experience and education into valuable skills, highlighting how these skills align with in-demand career pathways. Additionally, Future Finder offers access to relevant training, educational resources and job opportunities to help users progress toward their career goals within the state

FindYourFuture.sc.gov offers links to job boards and career-enhancing resources, including education and certification requirements as well as connections to apprenticeship and internship programs. Employers can post job openings and connect with organizations that assist in adding apprenticeship programs, employee training and labor market insights. Educators, students and parents can explore available job opportunities in the state along with educational resources, requirements, and specialized schools and training programs.

While FindYourFuture.sc.gov currently functions as a hub for linked resources, the goal is for it to evolve into a comprehensive, interactive statewide education and workforce development portal. Users are encouraged to contribute to its improvement by sharing feedback via the short survey available on the main navigation menu and on the homepage.

FindYourFuture.sc.gov marks a key milestone for the CCWD and the State of South Carolina, representing a major step toward aligning individual organizations' efforts to create a connected education and workforce system that is accessible, effective and easy to navigate.

As part of SCETV’s efforts to support the economic growth of the state, the network actively promotes initiatives that highlight career opportunities available across various industries. As a member of the CCWD, SCETV supports the initiative by sharing workers' success stories and providing educational resources aligned with workforce development programs to inform South Carolinians on career paths.

Through a partnership with the South Carolina Hospital Association, the Every Role Counts campaign highlights a range of healthcare career opportunities beyond traditional roles. The Your Path, Your Journey public service announcement series promotes non-degreed careers, aiming to develop a skilled workforce that supports South Carolina’s ongoing economic growth. Through career profiles and 360-degree videos, Let's Go! CAREERS offers students a virtual look into various work environments, particularly in sectors that need skilled workers. SCETV will continue to grow these resources available to South Carolinians through new initiatives and content.

More information on SCETV’s workforce development initiatives can be found on the SCETV website.
