As a nominee for the Golden Key Award, I recently had the incredible opportunity to attend the 2025 JAG-SC Career Development Conference, supporting C.A. Johnson High School as they competed in various events.

It was an honor to be surrounded by students and professionals dedicated to workforce development and leadership.

The day was filled with engaging breakout sessions on leadership, networking, and competitive events, all designed to equip students with essential career skills. Watching these young leaders showcase their talents, confidence, and determination was truly inspiring. A special shoutout is due Karen Samuel, JAG Specialist at C.A. Johnson High School, for her dedication to empowering students and guiding them through this incredible journey.

Events like this highlight the importance of mentorship and career readiness programs. Seeing firsthand how these students embrace challenges and strive for excellence was a reminder of why investing in our future workforce matters. I’m grateful to have been part of this experience and look forward to supporting JAG-SC’s mission in the years to come! (And hooray, I won the award!)
