The 2022 Telehealth Pioneer award was presented to Connie Guille, MD, during the 10th Annual Telehealth Summit of South Carolina held in November at the Charleston Gaillard Center.
Dr. Guille is a reproductive psychiatrist and the director of the Women’s Reproductive Behavioral Health Program at the Medical University of South Carolina. She leverages telehealth to advance care for women, specifically women’s behavioral health. She’s known for her dedication to serving a patient population which is often underserved and for her willingness to mentor other medical professionals as they establish their own programs to serve pregnant and postpartum patients throughout the state.
“It truly is a life-saving program for certain individuals, said James T. McElligott, M.D., MSCR,
Executive Medical Director of the Center for Telehealth at MUSC. “She saves lives, she impacts the health and wellness of the most important unit of many families throughout the state.”
