Columbia’s Indie Grits Film Festival opens in the Capitol City on April 14th and is celebrating their 10th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, all festival events will be free to attendees. There are approximately 60 films being screened.
The theme this year, “Waterlines,” is an opportunity for artists to give their interpretation of the devastating floods that hit S.C. in October.
Seth Gadsden, co-director of the festival said, “After the floods we experienced in South Carolina last fall, we knew that everything in Columbia had changed, and we wanted this year’s festival theme to honor that.”
