With South Carolina being first in the nation for the 2024 Democratic Presidential Primary and also first in the south for the Republican Presidential Primary, SCETV is committed to providing comprehensive coverage of the presidential campaign events in our state and information on the candidates who will be on the ballot in early 2024.
Nikki Haley served as governor from 2011 to 2017 and served as United States ambassador to the United Nations from 2017 to 2018. Haley would be the first Republican to join the 2024 presidential race in 2023, facing former President Donald Trump, who launched his bid last year and held his first presidential campaign event in Columbia last month.
