South Carolina ETV (SCETV) will host a premiere screening for the pilot episode of its new original series Food for Thought on Jan. 22 at the SCETV studios in Columbia. Food for Thought is an engaging new series that explores the unique friendship between South Carolina House of Representatives members JA Moore (D-Charleston) and Chairman Jeff Bradley (R-Beaufort), who have built a bond across party lines through their shared passion for food, politics and South Carolina’s vibrant culture.
The Jan. 22 event begins with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by the screening of the pilot episode at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear a panel discussion featuring Representatives Moore and Bradley, along with host Brittney Brackett and the show's producer Keith Bogart. Moore and Bradley will share insights from filming the series and their hope for using food and storytelling to bridge political divides. The event is free and open to the public, with complimentary parking available onsite. Due to limited seating, early registration is strongly encouraged.
Food for Thought blends humor, meaningful dialogue and culinary exploration as Moore and Bradley travel across the state, showcasing local food growers, producers and events. Along the way, they engage in spirited discussions about critical social and political issues, all while enjoying South Carolina’s rich flavors.
In the pilot episode, Moore and Bradley embark on a culinary journey through Charleston gathering ingredients for a dinner party with friends. Their adventures in the local food scene set the stage for candid discussions about the evening’s menu as well as a heartfelt conversation on gun control, which is a deeply personal topic for Representative Moore. The dinner party becomes the perfect setting for lively debate, camaraderie and a surprise visit from a political guest.
The pilot episode of Food for Thought will air on Jan. 30 at 8:30 p.m. on ETV-HD.

Through Food for Thought, we’re not just sharing meals: we’re creating conversations and proving that common ground can be found in unexpected places. I'm excited to work with Jeff and showcase the unique stories and flavors of South Carolina. With an aim to lead the next generation towards unity and understanding.” –Representative JA Moore (D-Charleston)
“This show is about more than just great food—it’s about celebrating what makes South Carolina special and finding ways to connect through our shared experiences. Working on Food for Thought with JA has been a rewarding adventure, and I hope viewers will see how conversations around a dinner table can spark understanding and build stronger communities.
