Ashley Hall's Earth Day Festival: Plant With a Purpose

On Earth Day 2024, Ashley Hall, an all-girls independent school in Charleston, South Carolina, hosted its first Plant with a Purpose Festival as part of the school's commitment to environmental education and sustainability.

The festival featured a range of local businesses, many of which are women-owned, offering eco-friendly products and sustainable gardening practices making this event a cross-curricular experience for the school and the broader Charleston community. Activities from the vendors and Ashley Hall's faculty included honey tastings, hands-on lessons, crafts, and demonstrations on gardening with native plants.
