We’re heading into another presidential election year and many students will be voting for the first time as they turn 18. Join us for an all-new episode of Carolina Classrooms on civics!
Show segments will include information on how and when to register to vote, how to locate your polling place, and where to find a sample ballot. We’ll meet the educators preparing the next generation of informed citizens to head to the polls in any election, national or local, and we’ll discuss political discourse and recent challenges to democracy, underscoring the importance of a foundation in civics no matter who you cast your vote for.
Between segments, we’ll test your knowledge with sample questions from the U.S. Citizenship test and define some of the terms you may hear while watching the legislative proceedings at the South Carolina State House.
