ArtFields, best known for the annual festival each April, is an arts organization dedicated to celebrating Southern artists and bringing art access to an underserved area. The festival transforms Lake City, SC into a town-wide art gallery as hundreds of artworks are displayed in businesses throughout town. Visitors enjoy voting for their favorite artworks, attending specialty events, exploring a small town, listening to live music and much more.
A robust public art collection, plus three professional gallery spaces featuring rotating exhibitions, offer a reason to visit Lake City all year round. ArtFields also facilitates a youth art program including a competition, traveling exhibition, field trips and hands-on classes.
These programs not only bring an economic boost to the area, but also instill an appreciation for the arts in visitors of all ages. Art inspires, connects and starts conversations that leave people excited to bring about positive change in their communities.
"SCETV, SC Public Radio and ArtFields strive to share experiences and to deliver high-quality content to the broad South Carolina audience," ArtFields Program Director, Caitlin Bright says, “supporting programs with like-minded content allows the residents of Lake City to tune-in to information that resonates with them.”
Join ArtFields this year for the festival from April 26–May 4 to see the power of art. Plus, explore year-round exhibitions and immersive art experiences.
