The 2024 Telehealth Innovator award was presented to Dr. Dominic B. Gault, FAASM, during the 12th Annual Telehealth Summit of South Carolina held last month in Hilton Head. The award recognizes an individual champion in the areas of clinical care, education, IT support or policy who is excelling in the adoption and innovation of telehealth within a practice, health center, school-based, or administrator setting.
Dr. Gault is Medical Director of Pediatric Sleep Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Prisma Health. He’s known for his focus on quality patient care and his vision to ensure that telehealth visits resemble in person clinic visits as much as possible.
“The way that Dr. Gault has been able to schedule and orient the virtual visits, it really mimics an in person visit as much as possible which really increases the standard of a virtual visit,” said Megan Lee Hiott, a nurse practitioner at Prisma Health.
Palmetto Care Connections is the host of the Annual Telehealth Summit of South Carolina. The Telehealth Summit brings together leaders and professionals interested in utilizing telehealth to increase access to health care.
