South Carolina ETV (SCETV) will select a viewer to host a fun-filled “red, white and blue” Fourth of July watch party in recognition of the upcoming PBS program, A Capitol Fourth.
The selected party will receive a July 4th-themed Watch Party kit to host a celebration and a $500 gift card for party supplies, provided by Capital Concerts and Boeing, the exclusive national sponsor of A Capitol Fourth.
Winner photos will be shared on A Capitol Fourth and SCETV social media channels. During the live broadcast on July 4th, the selected winner must post photos of their Watch Party to social media, tagging @SouthCarolinaTV (Instagram and Facebook) / @SCETV (Twitter), @July4thPBS, and @Boeing. Winners must also use the hashtag #July4thPBS and #SCETV.
Those interested in being considered should complete and submit the form on the SCETV website by 11:59 p.m. EST on June 29.
This year’s celebration welcomes iconic actor and television host Alfonso Ribeiro to lead the 43rd annual edition of America’s national Independence Day celebration on PBS. A Capitol Fourth celebrates America’s birthday with special tributes, musical selections, fun for kids of all ages with Elmo and Cookie Monster of Sesame Street and the greatest display of fireworks in the U.S.A.
America’s longest-running live national Independence Day TV tradition, A Capitol Fourth, will broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on ETV-HD on Tuesday, July 4 at 8 p.m., with an encore broadcast to follow at 9:32 p.m. The event will also and stream on the PBS website and the PBS YouTube channel.
