Where are they now?
- Evelyn Lugo founded the SC Hispanic Chamber of Commerce which was incorporated on August 30, 2007. The Chamber was established at a crucial moment in the Hispanic business community’s growth, providing an organization to represent these businesses.
- Ivan Segura is the Multicultural Affairs Director at the SC Commission for Minority Affairs.
- Dr. Myriam E. Torres continues to be the director of the now Consortium for Latino Health Studies at UofSC which promotes and coordinates multi-disciplinary research related to Latinos in South Carolina and the Southeast
