We are joined by the SC Watermelon Queen Serena Allsion who shows us how to make a healthy and delicious Watermelon Guacamole dip.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups diced avocados
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- 1 ½ cups cilantro or parsley if you prefer
- 4 ounce can chopped green chilis
- 2 Tbsp chopped jalapeno peppers
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 ½ cups seedless diced watermelon
- Chips to serve
Directions
- Put the avocado into a large bowl and mash with the back of a fork. Leave some chunks in the mix for texture.
- Add lime juice and stir. This will add tang and prevent avocado from discoloring
- Gently fold in cilantro, chilis, jalapeno peppers and garlic. Note: feel free to cut back on the garlic and peppers if you don’t like a spicy dip.
- Add the seedless diced watermelon to bowl and serve. Transfer dip to serving bowl and pass around with chips.
