COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina ETV (SCETV) today announced that local programming will now be included on the network’s YouTube TV livestream which, as a result, will mirror its primary broadcast channel for the first time. Launched in February 2020, the streaming service’s SCETV channel has featured only national programming to this point.
YouTube TV represents SCETV’s first livestreaming partnership. Now, in addition to PBS favorites, such as “Antiques Roadshow,” “Frontline,” “Great Performances,” “Masterpiece” and “Nature,” the network’s livestream will include local shows, like “Making it Grow,” “Palmetto Scene” and “This Week in South Carolina.”
In addition to the SCETV channel, YouTube TV also offers a dedicated channel for PBS Kids.
For those who are not YouTube TV subscribers, South Carolina residents can access a livestream of SCETV’s primary broadcast channel by visiting www.scetv.org/watch-scetv-live. Content can also be accessed digitally on the SCETV app, which is available on all iOS and Android devices. Furthermore, content is available on all SCETV-branded PBS platforms, including PBS.org and PBSKIDS.org, as well as the PBS Video app and PBS KIDS Video app available on iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Samsung TV and Chromecast. SCETV members are also able to view an extended library of quality public television programming via Passport.
