An all-new episode of Carolina Classrooms, hosted by 2018 National Principal of the Year, Dr. Akil Ross, aired Thursday, May 27 at 7 p.m.
On this episode we are celebrating educators! Teachers have had a busy and stressful year, instructing students in the classroom and online, often at the same time. Parents and guardians became teachers over the past year-and-a-half as they helped their kids navigate at-home learning.
We’ll introduce you to the 2021 South Carolina Teacher of the Year, and all five finalists for 2022. And we'll take you to Richland Northeast High School to meet student journalists documenting the stories that affect their school and community.
