South Carolina ETV and the Charleston Post and Courier will host gubernatorial primary election debates this spring. The debates will be held in conjunction with the state’s Democratic and Republican parties, and will be broadcast statewide on SCETV and SC Public Radio. Candidates will receive formal invitations after the March 30 filing deadline.
The debates are scheduled for May 23 (Republican) and 24 (Democratic) at Clemson, then June 4 (Democratic) and June 5 (Republican) at USC. Charles Bierbauer, host of SCETV’s This Week in South Carolina, will moderate. In addition to the broadcasts, the debates will also be streamed.
