Telehealth Supports Patients and Health Systems in Rural State

Faced with challenges in the area of healthcare, the primarily rural state of South Carolina decided to take action. In 2014, a statewide telehealth network, the South Carolina Telehealth Alliance, was formed to “improve the health of South Carolina's citizens through telehealth." Today, there are more than 200 sites across the state providing telehealth services to the population.
