South Carolina Public Radio (SC Public Radio) is proud to announce Reagan Knight has joined the team as the new local afternoon host for All Things Considered.

Knight discovered his love for public media while earning his journalism degree at the University of Florida. As a student, Knight worked as a fill-in host for All Things Considered and Morning Edition at WUFT, Gainesville, Florida’s PBS and NPR member station. Knight served as a student ambassador for the university’s College of Journalism, guiding incoming students and organizing events. He also became a prominent voice for smaller communities within the WUFT coverage area, distinguishing himself by focusing on regions with limited coverage. Knight’s outstanding reporting and dedication earned him the prestigious Doris Bardon Award for Excellence in Broadcasting.

After graduation, Knight became the Creative Services Director for MARC Radio Group in Gainesville, Florida. Despite his success, his aspiration to return to public media never wavered. The move to SC Public Radio brings Knight’s career full circle as he shares his unique talents and enthusiasm in his role as the new afternoon local host for SC Public Radio’s All Things Considered.

All Things Considered is the most listened-to afternoon drive-time news radio program in the country. All Things Considered is hosted nationally by NPR talent and supplemented with local news and information by NPR member station producers and reporters. Knight hosts All Things Considered locally for SC Public Radio and can be heard each Monday through Friday from 4 – 6:30 p.m. sharing daily news updates from across South Carolina. Knight’s afternoon news can also be heard on the SC Public Radio website.
