This June, I am delighted to share the exceptional programming lineup South Carolina ETV has curated to honor significant events and communities in South Carolina.
The month begins with an insightful episode of After Action, our nationally distributed series focusing on life after military service. We are continuously thankful for the opportunity to amplify the voices of those who have served our country and their experiences during reentry to civilian life.
Later in the month, Father's Day programming takes center stage on June 16 at 7 p.m. with Grown Up Dad on ETV World. This program delves into the evolving role of fatherhood, challenging traditional notions and asking what it truly means to be a good dad in today's world. Additionally, Disco: Soundtrack of a Revolution will air on June 18 at 9 p.m. and pay homage to the roots of disco, which emerged as a powerful expression of unity and visibility for communities in 1970s New York.
Juneteenth is commemorated through powerful programming that honors African American heritage and resilience. On June 10 at 10:30 p.m., I Am She: The Matriarch of America invites viewers on a captivating journey through the stories of African American women who have made indelible contributions to our society. Similarly, Legacy of Black Horsemen will air on June 18 at 10 p.m. and pay tribute to the often-overlooked role of Black jockeys and horsemen in shaping America's Thoroughbred industry amidst adversity.
We will also showcase new content during our summer fundraising drive, and I encourage you to tune in and show your support for the outstanding productions SCETV brings to your screens. Your generous contributions enable us to continue providing exceptional dramas, award-winning documentaries and educational children's programming that enrich the lives of viewers across South Carolina and beyond.
Thank you for your steadfast support and unwavering commitment to SCETV's mission to amplify, educate and strengthen South Carolina.
