The People’s Guide: Election Year Edition

The People’s Guide  Election Year Edition is your one-stop shop for all the resources you need to make good decisions in this election year!

Unveiled June 27, 2024, The People’s Guide was created through a partnership between Michigan PBS station WGVU, the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studie, and the Padnos/Sarosik Center for Discourse. The goal of the partnership was to create a website to help voters navigate the misinformation and disinformation ahead of the November presidential election, providing them with resources that they can trust to make their choices with the best information available.

Along with tools to help people register to vote and to learn more about what is on the upcoming ballot, the site also has guides on how to spot misinformation, media bias and the importance of consuming news from multiple outlets.

Content highlights information gathering, civil discourse, voter registration, and election integrity and includes the following sections:

  • Can I Trust Social Media
