Founded in 1880 by Pastor William Plumer Jacobs, Presbyterian College has a storied history as one of the oldest still-operating private universities in South Carolina. During their years of academia, they have never left behind the spirituality of its founding. This is well on display in Christmas at Presbyterian College: In That Unlikely Place, produced in December 2005 in celebration of their 125th anniversary.

Mr. Scrooge (1976)
The opera was written in 1976 by Sam Douglas from the University Of South Carolina (UofSC) Music Department.  Directed by Donald Gray, and produced for South Carolina ETV (SCETV) by Sidney Palmer, actor Thom Wood starred as Mr. Scrooge.

Carol of the Violin (1978)
After the loss of her mother, young Millie is determined to learn how to play the violin like her mother despite her Papa's refusal to let her play. As Millie's talents grow, how will her secret violin lessons affect Papa? 

The Nutcracker with the Moscow State Ballet (1996)
Directed by Jim Eddins in 1996, The Nutcracker with the Moscow State Ballet is a beautiful production of a holiday classic with gorgeous costuming, set design and performances.

The Gargoyle: Christmas Special (1982)
In the bell tower of the cathedral is a small, lonely gargoyle who has for centuries watched the candles burning and listened to the children singing. A mysterious white-winged creature knocks the gargoyle from his perch. As a result of this encounter and after helping to mend the creature's wings, the gargoyle receives a Christmas miracle to comfort his lonely soul.

First Milo Moose Day Celebration (1988)
Milo the Moose arrives home for the Christmas celebration on the Santa Express Train with Engineer Elf. Milo knows he has magic and is determined to head to the North Pole and fly just like the reindeer. His journey to finding his magic isn't an easy one! Will Milo the Moose find his magic? Will he learn how to fly like the reindeer? Christmas might be saved if he does!

Kwanzaa

Connections: Kwanzaa (2004)
Join host P.A. Bennett for this episode of Connections to learn more about this end-of-the year celebration. Kwanzaa is an African American Holiday created in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karenga. It's celebrated annually starting on December 26th and ends on January 1st.
