As we step into another month, we celebrate remarkable milestones that embody the essence of South Carolina ETV and SC Public Radio.
For an astounding three decades, Making It Grow, our award-winning gardening and horticulture show produced right here in South Carolina, has offered insights into a rich tapestry of gardening, agriculture and environmental topics. Over the years, Making It Grow has united us with experienced Clemson Extension agents, horticulturists, farmers, artisans, chefs and educators, all under the guidance of the former host Rowland Alston and current host Amanda McNulty. A staple among our most beloved shows, we look forward to many more years to come for Making It Grow.
Our journey continues as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the South Carolina Channel. Serving as our window into the arts and all South Carolina has to offer, the channel presents programs that embrace the essence of home, hearth and history, including captivating documentaries that delve into South Carolina's heritage.
SCETV is also celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop, a genre that has not only transformed music but also culture and society. Join us on Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. on ETV-HD for Carolina Classrooms: Hip-Hop in the Classroom, an exploration of how Hip Hop has impacted education.
SCETV will be celebrating these milestones during its showcase at this year’s South Carolina State Fair. We invite you to join us from Oct. 11-22 as we provide an experience that embodies our dedication to lifelong learning and exploration, with special appearances from your favorite SCETV talent, characters and much more.
As we embrace these achievements and look forward to the stories yet to unfold, I wish to express our gratitude for your unwavering support. It is through your dedication that we can continue to mark significant milestones and celebrate the narratives that define our collective journey. We are grateful for your enduring support.
