Fall is here, and even though the Carolina temperatures don’t quite reflect that, some exciting things are underway for the new season.
From new training opportunities to community engagement activities, October promises to have something for learners at all levels.
The Education and Research team has been working diligently to revamp the free professional development offerings available to educators and the community.
Be sure to read more about it in this month’s edition, and visit the new portal at Educational Workshop and Training Request Portal.
In addition to debuting new workshops, we are also celebrating Fire Prevention Month.
As part of those activities, we are introducing Meet the Helpers and hosting a community engagement affair around the resource on October 26.
We are starting a new session of ETV Learn courses...
https://www.scetv.org/teachercourses#/ and designing some new courses for recertification credit.
The Fall also brings new broadcast programming.
If you missed Ken Burns’ Country Music, be sure to check it out online https://www.scetv.org/country-music-ken-burns, and recap all of the education-centered events around the broadcast. PBS Kids is also debuting Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum and a reboot of Clifford the Big Red Dog. Stay tuned for additional details around both of those series.
