Happy Holidays from South Carolina ETV! 2019 was a big year for SCETV. In this holiday message, we take a look back at the full year!
'Twas the night before New Years and all through the station, producers were brainstorming all about education. The engineers hung the transmitters with care, In hopes that the viewers could tune-in real clear. As the shows were lined up slotted for AIR, Master programmed shows that went off without care.
With Smart Cat in his cape, and I with my SCene, we settled down to reflect on 2019. When down the hall there arose such a clatter, we sprang from the lobby to see what was the matter. Away from the foyer we flew in a flash, speeding past editing, we went with a dash. In the studio we ran and rushed to a stop, to see the whole staff reminiscing a lot, when, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a screen with some images of the whole year.
We wrapped up our 60th celebration with glee, And set off on a mission to Repack SC,
We held virtual classrooms all around the state, And learned to do most anything with the channel CREATE.
We celebrated huge milestones with Chasing the Moon, And sang Country Music with with viewers like you.
The local content keep coming with Making It Grow. Palmetto Scene and By the River gave us a good show.
And with that, our national productions prevailed, Every project was polished no matter the scale.
We taped season two of Yoga In Practice from the station and premiered Beyond Barbados to international ovation.
Charlie’s Place brought home an Emmy, the statue a shining, while in Digital we broke records as we were innovation-defining.
South Carolina Public Radio was awarded most outstanding, On Point was LIVE, among other things, notwithstanding.
We kept you informed from tv- to- radio- to- everywhere online, With weather and news...We are South Carolina’s lifeline.
We loved talking with you at every event, With all your favorite characters, with the kids, they were a hit
As the year comes to a close, we study our mission, And look to the future to continue the vision.
To enrich, and inform, to celebrate and connect, With the high-quality programs you’ve come to expect.
And with that is a promise, to continue the work, Because South Carolina ETV is YOUR statewide network.
And now there’s just one important thing left to say, "Happy Holidays to all, and to all a good day!"
