Carolina Classrooms, ETV’s monthly educational series, celebrates teachers with a special program featuring segments with finalists for our new SC Teacher of the Year and profiles of other outstanding South Carolina educators.
Hosted by Dr. Lemuel Watson, USC professor and Executive Director of the Center for Innovation in Higher Education, the hour-long program will celebrate South Carolina educators as they share their passion for teaching and talk about the changes and challenges in public education today. We might even get a glimpse into their classrooms as we go behind-the-scenes.
In addition to meeting finalists for our South Carolina Teacher of the Year, we’ll also visit David Kenga, a science teacher at St. John Neumann Catholic School in Columbia. His school is designated a Green Step School and he was awarded the 2017 Conservation Teacher of the Year! Plus, we’ll also celebrate accomplishments of educators at some of our schools recently selected for the Palmetto’s Finest Award.
And, we’ll hear from a variety of folks around our state about special teachers who inspired them!
