Human trafficking has come to the forefront of many Americans' minds through reporting, investigation and even popular culture. With legislation in 2012, South Carolina made a pledge to end the crime. But in 2016 alone, 73 reports related to human trafficking were made in the state. Palmetto Scene examines how South Carolinians are working together to end this crime, and where the state must go to ensure victims' well-being and safety.
