“Victory Starts Here: Fort Jackson Centennial” is a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Fort Jackson. Archival material and interviews with Fort Jackson leaders, historians and community leaders provide a look back at the history and important milestones of the U.S. Army’s largest Basic Combat Training Center, as well as its current and future impact on the city of Columbia and the state of South Carolina. From its beginning as Camp Jackson during World War I, Fort Jackson has become an important part of the social and economic life of this region and this state. The program is directed by SCETV’s Emmy® Award winning producer Mark Adams. The program premieres Thursday, June 15 at 8:00 p.m. on SCETV, and repeats Sunday June 18 at 4:00 p.m. Five additional broadcasts are also available in June on the South Carolina Channel and ETV World.
