Earlier today, President Obama declared a state of emergency for all 46 counties in S.C. due to storms and flooding. Federal aid will be available to support state and local efforts, with FEMA coordinating any relief efforts and providing assistance in emergency situations.
In a release from The White House, the order states "FEMA is authorized to identify, mobilize, and provide at its discretion, equipment and resources necessary to alleviate the impacts of the emergency. Emergency protective measures, limited to direct federal assistance, will be provided at 75 percent federal funding."
