Fall temps finally arrive in South Carolina! But for how long?

After a rainy Thursday, the weather will start drying out and cooling off as we head into the weekend. Tonight, the leading edge of the frontal boundary will move offshore, taking the rain and cloud cover with it. Cold air damming (where the colder air mass at the lower levels is trapped by mountains) could bring further temperature dips and cloudy skies early on Friday. Friday afternoon will be a nice day, with highs in the upper-60s under mostly sunny skies.
Potential Tropical Cyclone 19 forms; it's a slow mover

Invest 99L has officially been labeled Potential Tropical Cyclone 19. The National Hurricane Center gives this label to systems that are still disorganized but close enough to land to bring impacts and have the potential to become more organized in the coming hours or days. This allows the NHC to issue watches and warnings.

High chance for tropical storm formation over the Western Caribbean

We’re getting close to mid-November, and the tropics have continued to be prolific. We have a tropical wave traveling over the Caribbean that has a chance to develop as it moves over the western Caribbean late this week. Currently, the National Hurricane Center gives it a high chance for this disturbance to develop into a tropical storm and gradually, and possibly, into a hurricane within the next seven days.
