March Roars in With Fun at the Laurens Libraries!

There is something for everyone at the Laurens Libraries the beginning of this coming March. The fun begins on March 4th at 11 am when we create beautiful pendants in a renaissance fair style. Use fabric, beads, and techniques of patchwork and embroidery to create a one-of-a-kind necklace. Then on March 5th, at 4 pm join a discussion with our AARP representative on avoiding scams and becoming a victim of fraud. Both programs are at the Clinton Library. Anyone over the age of eight are welcome to attend. Teens (11-17) are invited to the Laurens Library on March 6, 4 pm, for an easy, no-sew pillow crafting program—Fleece Fiends. Take home your own soft cushion.
Children ages 6-10 can enjoy two programs, one at each branch. On Monday, March 20th, stop by the Laurens Library during open hours to pick up a “grab-n-go” butterfly craft. It’s an easy flutter and fly take-away project. The Clinton Library gives a nod to St. Patrick with a “Stack the Rainbow Challenge”. Explore the science behind sugar density while creating vibrant liquid layers in this sweet STEM activity. The whole family will delight in our Trivia Night Event on March 22, 4 pm, at the Clinton Library. Whether you are flying solo or bringing a team, you can test your knowledge on a host of subjects and win prizes!
All programs at the Laurens Libraries are free and open to the public. For more information contact your local branch or go to lcpl.org.
