About the Event
Discovery Day 2023 is your chance to come to ETV and peek behind the curtain. This is a fun, creative day designed with you in mind! You will start your day with a real life audition in front of professional actors and producers, and then you’ll break into small groups and tour the studio! You'll get to be up close and personal with each department - we’re talking radio, television, digital, and so much more!

Our facilities are located near downtown Columbia, S.C. on 1041 George Rogers Boulevard, across from USC's Williams-Brice Stadium.

Meet the Audition Team
Hi Discovery Day participants! Below is the team at the table for your audition! These three industry professionals, along with SCETV staff, will create a warm and welcoming environment for you to come into the room and experience what a real audition feels and looks like. Some of you will memorize a short commercial upon arrival, some of you will come in and tell a story. Whichever is best for you - the only requirement is to have FUN!

- What if I have more than one child I want to register?

Each entry is an audition spot. If you are submitting for more than one child, please register for each child separately.
- Can I bring my children with me if they are too young to participate?

Yes! They will simply need to be with you at all times while your of age (5+) child auditions and participates in Discovery Day.
- When will I receive more details?

After you register, you will receive a confirmation email with more details about this wonderful event!
- What can I expect day of?

Total fun! Expect to have a fun audition with professionals to see what the process is like! Afterwards, you will go on a tour all throughout our studio. Snacks and more fun will follow.
- Where can I park?

Visitors can part in SCETV's back lot. The front parking lot is reserved for handicapped parking.
- How long will this last?

Expect to spend the day with us starting at 9am and lasting until 1pm.
- What do I wear?

Comfortable shoes and solid colors (no graphics or patterns).
- Why solid colors?

Solid look best on camera and you will be on camera for your audition.
- What time should I arrive?

If you are confirmed for Discovery Day, you have received an email with your child's specific call time. We encourage you to arrive 10-15 minutes before your call time so that you have time to check in and get focused.
- What if I have more than one child participating and they are in different groups?

Arrive to ETV based on your youngest child’s audition time.
- What if it rains?

If it rains, your arrival time is still the same! The only thing that will change is your departure time. Since the final activity of the day is entirely outside - rain will just mean you head home a little earlier than expected.
- What if my child has a food or latex allergy?
-
We will be serving food at this event and will have balloons for decoration in the front lobby. If your child has a food allergy or is allergic to latex, please be prepared.
