Kelly Simmons III bio:
Kelly Simmons III, affectionately known as Coach Kelly, was born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina, and currently resides in Eastover, SC, with his wife, Kelley R. Simmons. Together, they share a beautiful family of three children and one granddaughter.
As a first-generation college graduate of Lander University, Coach Kelly began his career as a U.S. Army officer, retiring due to injury. Following his military service, he transitioned into corporate sales before discovering his true calling in education.
For over 15 years, Coach Kelly passionately served as a career counselor in Richland School District One, a job readiness coach, and an adjunct professor at Midlands Technical College Corporate & Continuing Education Department. These roles allowed him to discover his purpose of helping students and young adults to achieve success in and out of the classroom.
Coach Kelly and his wife started their consulting company Empowered To Win LLC that provides keynote speaking, educational workshops and leadership coaching for students and young adults. He is also the visionary behind The Winning Leadership Podcast, an upcoming platform designed to engage, educate, and empower the next generation of leaders through digital content.
Known for his unwavering dedication and resilience, Coach Kelly has helped thousands of students across South Carolina overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. His heartfelt mission is to empower students and young adults to become confident, innovative, and ethical leaders in their lives, careers, and communities. Coach Kelly serves as an ordained elder at Truth Church & Ministries in Eastover, SC. In his spare time Coach Kelly loves spending time with family, traveling and enjoying the great outdoors.
