Brittney Brackett
Brittney Brackett is moderator of the SCETV award-winning teen social media and wellness discussion, SCETV Safe Space. She is also a past correspondent for SCETV'S Palmetto Scene and host of SCETV’s traveling South Carolina food show Backroad Bites.
Brittney is a native of Greenville, South Carolina, is a nonprofit leader, grant maker, and an award-winning children’s book author, with more than 14 years' experience fostering the personal and professional growth of young people. She is the Founder and Executive Director of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit called The Outstanding Youth Awards Initiative (OYA) and has awarded more than $8,100 in scholarships and internships since 2015-- recognizing more than 50 students through educational awards, wellness retreats, empowerment workshops and artistic contests. Her leadership has generated more than $156,000 of foundational and statewide grants in less than 5 years for her organization. Brittney is currently in pre-production for her fourth film project, a documentary short, chronicling grounding and healing youth in the Black and Brown community through access to the performing and healing arts.
Brittney also serves as the owner of b dynamic! Productions, and has worked for more than 20 years in the entertainment business as an entertainer, spokesperson, producer, and now as a film director. Her award-winning short films have screened at multiple film festivals across the U.S. and garnered two awards; Best Actress for the 2024 Cinematography and Photography Awards and Honorable Mention from the 2024 Fresh Black Films Festival. Brittney was recently selected as a NAMI Greenville Ambassador and newly-elected Board Member for her efforts in continually educating community youth and teens about mental health and self-awareness.
Brittney holds a bachelor's degree in Health Marketing and Communication from Ashford University, is a graduate of Furman University's Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI) at The Center for Innovative Leadership, is currently enrolled in the 2024 Carolina Leadership Cohort with Together SC in Columbia, SC and has earned certifications in adolescent counseling and mindfulness life coaching.
