South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is excited to commemorate Hispanic Heritage Month, held Sept. 15 – Oct. 16, by presenting a diverse lineup of television programming that celebrates the culture, history and contributions of Hispanic communities. From thought-provoking documentaries to culinary explorations, this lineup offers an array of engaging content that sheds light on the stories and achievements of Hispanic individuals and their impact on our world.

UPCOMING PROGRAMS ON ETV-HD

The Cheech - Experience the lifelong advocacy of the Chicano Art Movement by Cheech Marin. Delve into his journey to establish the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art, Culture and Industry, showcasing the power of art to tell untold stories and elevate voices. Airs Sept. 14 at 8:30 p.m.

Becoming Frida Kahlo - Explore the life of celebrated artist Frida Kahlo in a three-part docuseries. See the major personal and political events of her life, including her stormy and devoted relationship with artist Diego Rivera, whom she married not once but twice. Part one airs Sept. 19 at 9 p.m. Parts two and three air Sept. 26 and Oct. 3, respectively.

36th Hispanic Heritage Awards - Celebrate outstanding individuals and organizations for their remarkable contributions to the Hispanic community and beyond. This prestigious event recognizes the impactful achievements that have shaped Hispanic heritage and culture. Airs Sept. 29 at 9 p.m.

American Masters: Song for Cesar - Trace the life and legacy of labor activist Cesar Chavez, exploring how music and the arts played a pivotal role in the social movement he helped found. Through interviews with influential figures like Maya Angelou, Joan Baez and Carlos Santana, this documentary reveals the synergy between art and activism. Airs Sept. 29 at 10 p.m.
