With summer right around the corner, the S.C. Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism wants to get people out, tasting the best drinks the state has to offer. The new campaign is sporting the slogan “Satisfy Your Thirst” and is costing the agency about $65,000. The hope is that it will cause people to go out and taste products from “fresh milk to the hard stuff,” according to an article in the Post and Courier. The campaign was announced at the Governor’s Conference of Tourism to kick off the summer season for which S.C. is well-known.
The hope is that the campaign will bring awareness and business to breweries, dairy farms, wineries and orchards. There is even an app that you can download to get information on some of the businesses that are participating. The website that is dedicated to promoting the new slogan offers videos and information on the local businesses that allow visitors to tour, taste and enjoy their facilities, as well. Like the predecessor, “Barbecue Trail” marketing stint in 2013, the “Satisfy Your Thirst” marketing campaign falls under the “Discover South Carolina” state program.
