A late winter cold snap will settle in for a big part of this week. Freeze Alerts are posted across the state as very chilly temperatures are expected the next 3 nights.
A strong cold front pushed through the Palmetto state last night, but wintertime temps are here to stay for a little while longer. A Freeze Warning is posted for the Upstate tonight where lows in the 20s are possible. A Freeze Watch is in effect for most of the Midlands and northern Pee Dee until 9 AM tomorrow as lows tumble into the 30s.

It will be even colder Tuesday and Wednesday nights with lows near or below freezing, except for coastal areas. However, morning temperatures along the coast will still be super chilly in the 30s.
Layer up the next 3 mornings and take care of any plants and flowers if you’ve done any early planting ahead of the spring season. The first day of Spring 2023 is next Monday, March 20th.
