South Carolina Ethics Reform Commission meetings:
November 27: Public Hearing before the South Carolina Ethics Reform Commission. The South Carolina Ethics Reform Commission (“Commission”) invites members of the public to provide comments to the Commission regarding ethics reform and open records reform. Watch this meeting on YouTube.
December 10: Public Hearing before the South Carolina Ethics Reform Commission. The South Carolina Ethics Reform Commission (“Commission”) invites members of the public to provide comments to the Commission regarding ethics reform and open records reform. Watch this meeting on YouTube.
Tuesday, December 11: The South Carolina Ethics Reform Commission will invite government entities and non-government organizations to provide testimony and written recommendations. The list of invited government entities and non-government organizations includes, but is not limited to (9:00 am - 5:00 pm):
- Office of the Governor
- State Ethics Commission
- Office of the Attorney General
- Senate Ethics Committee
- House Ethics Committee
- S.C. Policy Council
- Common Cause
- League of Women Voters of South Carolina
- S.C. Association of Housing Authority Executive Directors
The following meetings will not be streamed.
Tuesday, January 8: The South Carolina Ethics Reform Commission will meet to consolidate public comments, written recommendations, and testimony and to develop its recommendations for presentation to the Governor, General Assembly, and public. This meeting will not be streamed.
Tuesday, January 22: The South Carolina Ethics Reform Commission will meet to discuss final recommendations and written report. This meeting will not be streamed.
Monday, January 28: The South Carolina Ethics Reform Commission will provide a written report to the Governor, the General Assembly, and the public. This meeting will not be streamed.
All hearings and meetings are tentatively scheduled to be held in Room 252 of the Edgar Brown Building. Formal notice will be disseminated and posted consistent with the requirements of South Carolina law.
