Guides for ETV Teacher Recertification Registration and the
Learning Management System

The following are instructions to help you with registering and taking the SCETV Teacher Recertification Courses. The registration and payment procedure has been streamlined in order to automate the process.

Moodle (abbreviation for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment) is a free source e-learning software platform, also known as a Learning Management System, or Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). It helps educators create online courses with a focus on interaction and collaborative construction of content. Our recertification courses utilizes Moodle in order to provide you the curriculum needed to complete the course.

Getting Started
  • Go to the ETV Teacher Courses page to get information on the courses currently available for registration. Click on the name of the course to get a detailed description, who the course is offered by, cost, and credit information.
    (** If your are preparing for the next semester , the Teacher Recertification page has a listing of the courses normally offered as well as course descriptions)
  • IF the course is an ETV Teacher Recertification course, register at the ETVLearn Online site. A link to enroll is included in the description. Registration Guide
  • An email with your login information as well as your enrollment and payment confirmations are sent to the email address you provide.

Accessing your course(s)

  • Moodle may be new to some of you so this guide will help you gain access to the course(s), videos and discussion questions required to complete the course. ETV Learning Managment System Guide


REQUEST FOR CHANGE/ACTION from SC Department of Education

After each session, ETV will provide the SC Department of Education’s Office of Educator Certification the list of all participants who received their certificates of completion for each SCETV Teacher Recertification Course.

It is the educator’s responsibility to provide documentation and complete the REQUEST FOR CHANGE/ACTION form that is needed to initiate certificate renewal with the SC Department of Education.
