With the onset of summer, it's not only vacation time but summer-job-season for your teenager. In fact for many of you, this could mean your child's first paycheck. Our next guest says that if you haven't done so yet, this is an excellent time to teach your child some financial skills.

Ernest "Fritz" Hollings served as governor of SC from 1959-1963. He was elected to the US Senate in 1966. He was the last "former governor" to be elected to Congress prior to Mark Sanford recent US House victory.
Donald Russell served as governor from 1963 to 1965 when he resigned to fill the vacancy of the Senate seat of Olin Johnston due to his death. Although he was governor after Hollings, Russell was not elected to the Senate, he appointed himself.
