Teen Kids News – Access in StreamlineSC by Wednesday Each Week

Teen Kids News (TKN), a current events series featuring news from around the world, is hosted by teens and provides information to kids in an educational and entertaining manner. TKN also highlights positive stories about kids doing amazing things and helping to make the world a better place. With educational content produced in partnership with Weekly Reader publication, TKN is formatted similarly to a newsmagazine and features special-interest, sports and entertainment stories and recommended for grades 6-10.

Teen Kids News (TKN) is now available in StreamlineSC sooner than planned! Prior to this school year, TKN was provided on the IMC (Instructional Media Channel), but now each week’s program can be accessed online in StreamlineSC. Look for the program listed by the Monday date of the week. We had announced that programs would be accessible on Thursday or Friday morning, but the process has been faster so Monday’s program is usually there by Wednesday (ex: TKN October 7, 2013 program accessible October 9).

Please spread the word to your teachers about TKN in StreamlineSC!

Created by Albert Primo, award-winning creator of "Eyewitness News," Teen Kids News has received numerous awards, including the Silver Circle award from The National Academy of Arts and Sciences, Hermes Creative Award, Telly, and Communicator Awards. Along with a variety of informative segments, TKN also contains educationally-based segments such as "Word," a game in which three words (many not commonly used in the vocabulary of the show's target demographic) are illustrated by their meaning.
