South Carolina Storytelling Network Conference—Saturday, September 27, 2014 at USC Sumter
The South Carolina Storytelling Conference hosted by the South Carolina Center for Oral Narration at USC Sumter is an all-day event. Workshops and storytelling opportunities are available for new and experienced storytellers. Special sessions have been designed for educators and CEU credit is available.
The conference will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014, in the Arts and Letters Building at USC Sumter, in Sumter, S.C.
Until Sept.10, the registration fee is only $25 with an additional discount for SCSN members. A boxed lunch option will be provided from Baker's Sweets at an additional cost. This year’s featured storyteller is John Fowler, who will present a workshop and give a performance. Other sessions will be led by Marilyn Izzard, Debbie Jarrett, Martha Reed Johnson, Cathy Jo Nelson, Cora Newcomb, Frances Lee O’Neal, and Hendrikus van Bulck.
