Presidential Awards for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching Open for Nominations!
The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching is the highest honor that a science or math teacher can receive. Established by Congress in 1983, the PAEMST program authorizes the President to bestow up to 108 awards each year.
Nominations for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching are now open for teachers in grades K-6. (The program alternates between grades K-6 teachers in even years and grades 7-12 teachers in odd years.) Nominations close on April 1, 2014 and completed applications must be received by May 1, 2014.
