Teacher Franklin Ward from Richland Two commented that there is no better or enjoyable way to get recertification credit than the ETV courses! Like Mr. Ward, if you are interested in South Carolina History, then check out the SC Chronicles courses I through VI that take you from early Colonial History through the Reconstruction Era in our state. Plus in SPRING I session (March 24-May 19) we’re planning SC Chronicles VII: Entering the 20th Century with focus on the turn of the century through World War I.
Want to learn more about integrating global awareness into your lessons? Look at the Literature and Language Arts courses Engaging with Literature: A Workshop for Teachers (grades 3-5) or Teaching Multicultural Literature: A Workshop for Middle Grades (grades 6-8). Also, check out the new science course added in Fall 2013 entitled The Habitable Planet: A Systems Approach to Environmental Science (grades 6-12). And, there’s another new course focusing on our state entitled Environmental Awareness & Conservation in SC and Beyond, Part 1 (all grades).
Interested in Natural History? Then call the numbers below to find out about a special session of the Natural History In and Out of the Classroom with Rudy Mancke that runs March 1 through May 3 (provides 3 hours/60 renewal credits and cost $200). Registration is not open for this class yet, but we are taking names of those interested since enrollment in this class is limited.
So … Go to http://scetv.org/teachercourses. You’ll not only find the renewal credit only courses offered by ETV Teacher Recertification, but also the renewal and graduate level courses provided through Teacherline Southeast and TeacherStep.
