ETV StreamlineSC – Transition, Access, Training
ETV’s new StreamlineSC partner is the award-winning content provider Learn360, which now serves as the “backbone” of the video-on-demand resource and brings access to materials from BBC, National Geographic, Encyclopædia Britannica, History, Cambridge Educational, and many more.
Learn360, an Infobase Learning Company that is also used by DISCUS, is the premier, interactive media-on-demand service for the K-12 education market, providing teachers and students the power to meet and exceed 21st-century educational expectations across all curriculums. Through streaming video, audio, and accompanying support materials, Learn360 supports web-based learning by providing an online collaborative environment where users can share information and ideas anytime, anywhere. Content is correlated to educational standards.
In addition to this rich content base, ETV StreamlineSC will continue to provide SDE and ETV-produced South Carolina content. Users may keep the content created by ETV and SDE that they have downloaded. Much of this SDE/ETV content has already been moved to the new system and more will be transitioned over the coming months.
SC educators should have received an email from ETV/Learn360, letting users know to use their same StreamlineSC username. This message included a new password. Once you log in, you may change your password to what it was before or to whatever you wish.
Learn360 has an excellent support site: http://support.infobaselearning.com/. And, ETV is providing training to guide educators through every step of integrating this user-friendly product into the classroom. You are invited to contact ETV Education to schedule training in your school/district: toll free (800) 277-3245 or local 737-3245.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Discovery Education’s content license agreement with StreamlineSC expired August 17, 2014. All Discovery content downloaded to local servers, desktops/laptops or recorded on any format must be deleted. Rights are no longer available through ETV for SC educators to use Discovery content free of charge.
