Black America Since MLK

Dear Viewers and Listeners

November has a bountiful harvest of programming you won’t want to miss! In time for Veterans Day, we are proud to offer another in our series South Carolinians in WWII: Return to Normandy. This special highlights the unique bond between the veterans who landed on Normandy and the residents and their children who honor them each year.

Both SCETV and SC Public Radio bring you full election night coverage, complete with interviews and analysis.

Engaging new series premiere this month: Black America Since MLK examines the last 50 years of African-American history, as host Henry Louis Gates Jr. charts the progress made as well as the obstacles that remain; and Soundbreaking is an in-depth look at the evolution of recorded music. For younger viewers, Splash and Bubbles is an animated adventure beneath the sea. For kids of all ages, Thanksgiving evening features two heartwarming specials back-to-back: new adaptations of Anne of Green Gables and Pollyanna.

SCETV’s Festival begins this month, and features favorites such as The Carpenters, as well as new programming including Joe Bonamassa: Live at the Greek, Trans Siberian Orchestra: Birth of Rock Theatre, and Andre Rieu: Waltzing Forever.

Daylight Savings Time ends on November 6, so don’t forget to set your clock back so you won’t miss a minute of your favorite programming! Thank you for your much-valued support.
