A Chef’s Life Deck the Halls

Dear Viewers and Listeners:

As 2016 winds to a close, SCETV ends the year with a bang, continuing the wonderful pledge programming we began last month. Lots of music specials are scheduled, including the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band: 50 Years; Rocktopia: Live in Budapost; Il Volo: Notte Magica; and California Dreamin’: The Story of the Mamas and the Papas.

Celebrating the upcoming holiday season, we again bring you the annual Governor’s Carolighting 2016 from the steps of the State House. Our own production, A Chef’s Life, offers a holiday special; Rick Steves celebrates a European Christmas; and our Christmas Day line-up is full of festive programs for kids of all ages.

A new Great Performances miniseries continues The Hollow Crown narrative, following the epic saga of the reigns of Henry VI and Richard III. And Live from Lincoln Center rings in the New Year with the New York Philharmonic’s New Year’s Eve Special.

SC Public Radio offers its share of holiday specials, including the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church performance of Lessons and Carols; a Song Travels special, Home for the Holidays; the ever-popular Christmas with the Morehouse and Spelman Glee Clubs; and many more. And don’t forget to sign up to tell your story on StoryCorps; to find out more, or schedule an interview, visit StoryCorps.org.

A big “thank you” to all who supported our SC Public Radio “No Pledge Drive Pledge Drive,” and helped us attain our year-end goal. We hope you and your family have a safe and joyous holiday season.
