HERO Live! Women of the Revolution March 10 at 1 p.m. on SCC
HERO Live!, produced by Colonial Williamsburg, is an interactive electronic field trip designed to support American history education for 4-8th grade students. The March program entitled Women of the Revolution airs March 10 at 1:00 p.m. on ETV’s SC Channel (SCC). ALL SC schools may view!
Using 21st century technology and dramatizations with re-enactors to play the roles of historical figures, the HERO Live! programs are correlated to standards, providing a compelling learning experience. This program, number six in the 2015-16 series, looks at steadfast women on both sides of the conflict.
Bravery. Loyalty. Sacrifice. Women of the Revolution possessed all of these qualities. Explore the excitement, peril and individual stories of Deborah Sampson, Mary Perth, Martha Washington, and other women, on both sides of the conflict, who proved their mettle in America’s war of independence.
Watch HERO Live!: Women of the Revolution on March 10 at 1:00 p.m. on ETV’s SC Channel (SCC).
Plan to view the last program in the series on April 14 at 1:00 p.m. on the SCC. Our SC schools have fair use rights to use for 10 days and erase within 45 days.
All SC schools may view HERO Live! with fair use rights. If your school would like “full access,” which entitles your school to receive the supporting teacher materials, and keep the recorded programs for life of the recording, plus have access to all programs/resources in HERO (History Education Resources Online) multimedia library, you may pay $50 per program to participate. For information, contact Dale Van Eck at CWEFT 1-800-761-8331 or email@example.com.
